Admissions & How to Get Started
Getting into Sandy's Graceful is a conversation, not a complicated intake process. Here's exactly what to expect.
How Admissions Work at Sandy's Graceful
We keep the process simple and honest. Here's what happens from your first call to move-in day.
Make First Contact
Call or email us. Tell us a bit about the person looking for housing — who they are, what they need, and why you're exploring residential options. There's no formal application at this stage. It's just a conversation.
Schedule a Tour
If the initial conversation suggests a potential fit, we invite you to come see the home. This is the best way to understand the environment, ask detailed questions, and get a feel for how life at Sandy's Graceful actually works.
Discuss Needs & Fit
We'll talk through the prospective resident's situation honestly. This includes their daily living needs, the level of support they require, any existing health management they have in place, and whether Sandy's Graceful is genuinely a good match.
Confirm Placement
Once both parties agree it's the right fit, we coordinate the practical details — move-in date, room selection, what to bring, and what to expect in the first week.
Move In & Settle
We support the transition as much as needed. The first week is an orientation to routines, spaces, and the community. Family members are welcome to be part of the move-in process.
Who Sandy's Graceful Is Designed For
We're transparent about who this placement serves well — and where it isn't the right match.
Good Fit For
- Older adults who want a safe, structured residential environment
- Adults who benefit from regular meals, housekeeping, and daily support
- Individuals who value community and social connection
- People who are largely independent but need some daily assistance
- Adults transitioning from a family home and seeking residential support
- Families looking for a trustworthy non-medical residential alternative
- Case managers and social workers placing clients in supportive housing
May Not Be the Right Fit If:
- Individuals requiring 24-hour skilled nursing care
- People with advanced memory care or dementia needs
- Residents who require clinical medical treatment on-site
- Individuals requiring post-surgical or rehabilitation services
If you're unsure, call us. We'd rather help you find the right placement than push one that doesn't work.
